By accessing CyberGMAT, you (the "User") are subject to this Privacy Policy, as well as to our Terms of Service. To read the Terms of Service. The company reserves the right to change, modify, add, or delete parts of this Privacy Policy at any time, at our sole discretion and without further notice. If we do so, the changes will be posted on this Privacy Policy page, including the date of revision at the top of the page. THIS PRIVACY POLICY DETAILS THE TYPES OF INFORMATION ABOUT YOU THAT CYBERGMAT COLLECTS, AS WELL AS HOW WE USE, MAINTAIN, AND SHARE THIS INFORMATION. THE PRIVACY POLICY IS DESIGNED TO HELP YOU MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS ABOUT USING THE CYBERGMAT WEBSITE AND SERVICE, AS WELL AS ANY THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND SERVICES REACHED THROUGH CYBERGMAT.

 

1.      INFORMATION COLLECTED BY CYBERGMAT

CyberGMAT normally gathers two types of information from you when you use the CyberGMAT website and service:

A. Personal information that you knowingly choose to disclose to CyberGMAT. In your user registration to CyberGMAT, you provide us with such personal details as your full name, country, email address, password, MBA schools of choice, and other personal and academic details.

B. Website-use information, collected automatically by CyberGMAT as you use our Website and service. CyberGMAT uses browser cookies and other Internet tools to gather statistical and usage information about CyberGMAT's users. We use this information to analyze and learn about how our website is used, and how we can improve our products and services for the benefit of our users. This information includes details such as your web browser type, IP address, web pages viewed, and more. CyberGMAT takes precautions to ensure that the cookies do not collect sensitive or personally identifiable information. Although you have the option of setting your web browser to reject cookies, this may limit or prevent some of CyberGMAT's functionality.

CyberGMAT stores ongoing information about you, such as your personal profile, forum comments, practice test performance, search queries, messages to and from other Users, and more, for future use and reference both by CyberGMAT and yourself. When any such information is updated or changed by you or by the website, CyberGMAT may still retain a copy of the previous detail for a certain period of time or indefinitely, in case it is required for our statistical purposes or your website use.

As defined in our Terms of Service, User Content that you post publicly on CyberGMAT is freely viewable to other Users and may be shared or reused. Although there are privacy controls for limiting access to your private information, please be advised that no security technology is perfect or impenetrable. CyberGMAT cannot and does not guarantee that private User Content you post on CyberGMAT will not be viewed by unauthorized persons. CyberGMAT is not responsible for circumvention of any privacy or security measures contained on CyberGMAT. You understand and agree that copies of your User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages even after the User Content is removed from the active CyberGMAT website, or if other persons have stored or copied your User Content.

As CyberGMAT cannot control and assumes no responsibility for the conduct of other Users with whom you communicate, it is your sole responsibility to choose with which Users you share your information, data, and opinions. Please remember that any unlawful or improper collection or misuse of information available on or through CyberGMAT is considered a violation of the User Conduct section of our Terms of Service. When you recommend CyberGMAT or any part of CyberGMAT to a friend, our website will ask you for information necessary for sending your friend an automatic invitation to visit CyberGMAT. This information includes details such as your friend's name and email address. CyberGMAT stores this information in order to track the progress of the referral and the overall progress of the referral program, including whether or not your referral produced a visit or a registration to CyberGMAT, how many Users referred friends, and more. If your friend wishes us to remove this information from our records, he or she may request us to do so at our contact form.

 

Security

All data gathered about you will be stored in secured servers behind a firewall. Certain information may also be stored in backup servers in other locations. For questions about CyberGMAT's data security, please contact us.

 

Users Under 18 Years of Age

CYBERGMAT DOES NOT KNOWINGLY ALLOW PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18 TO REGISTER AS USERS, DOES NOT KNOWINGLY SOLICIT OR COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18, AND DOES NOT KNOWINGLY ALLOW THIRD PARTIES TO SOLICIT OR COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18.

Using CyberGMAT if you are under 18 years of age is considered a violation of the CyberGMAT Terms of Service. Persons under age 18 are not allowed to provide any personal information to CyberGMAT. If you are under 18 years of age, do not register or attempt to register as a CyberGMAT user, and do not send any personal information about yourself to CyberGMAT, including your name, age, location, telephone number, or email address. If CyberGMAT learns that CyberGMAT has unknowingly collected personal information from a person under age 18, we will delete that information as soon as possible. If you believe that CyberGMAT may currently have information in its records from or about a person under 18, please report this here.

 

2.      USE OF INFORMATION COLLECTED BY CYBERGMAT

When you register as a CyberGMAT user, you create a profile by entering information such as your name, email address, and location.

CyberGMAT occasionally uses this information to send you general service-related announcements, notifications about new services, and personal messages regarding your CyberGMAT registration and use, as well as messages regarding your requested or preferred academic institutions.

In some cases, such as when you communicate with other CyberGMAT users or participate in CyberGMAT's public message forums, other CyberGMAT Users may be able to view some of your details.

 

Sharing Your Information with Third Parties

CyberGMAT shares your information with third parties in limited and defined circumstances: when sharing this information is necessary for providing the CyberGMAT service, when it is required by law, and when you request or permit it.

CyberGMAT may use non-identifying information from your User profile in connection with joint activities between CyberGMAT and a third-party. This may include personalized advertisements and promotions, and connecting you with your preferred or requested academic institutions. Upon your request, CyberGMAT may use your identifying information to connect you with requested academic institutions and entities. CyberGMAT may offer you the choice of sharing your information with relevant marketers or e-commerce providers through special offers on our website. In addition, CyberGMAT may use information about you collected from third parties in order to supplement your personal CyberGMAT records.

 

Partnering with Schools and institutions: CyberGMAT occasionally partners with schools and institutions to provide them CyberGMAT's GMAT preparation solutions. Your school, institution, or district may arrange for your participation in these programs and may purchase a CyberGMAT package on your behalf. We may share the Personal Information that you provide to us in your participation in CyberGMAT through your school, institution, or district. Your school, institution, or district may also require us to share your information with others legally entitled to access your academic records, such as your country or state's department of education.

CyberGMAT may grant third-party service providers access to User information in order to improve, repair, maintain, or upgrade the CyberGMAT website, service, or business. Such third parties may include server co-location, backup, or maintenance providers; email and search providers (including sponsored links); database optimization providers; and others. CyberGMAT's service providers may have access to your personal information for a limited time in connection with their specific business activities. Whenever CyberGMAT uses third parties for processing personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections that limit those parties' use of your information to the purposes specified by CyberGMAT.

CyberGMAT may be legally required to disclose User information upon requests by law enforcement or private litigants, or following court orders or subpoenas, or in accordance with applicable laws. CyberGMAT will not reveal such information until we believe that the information request meets applicable legal standards. In addition, CyberGMAT may share User or account information with other companies, lawyers, agents, government agencies or other entities when we believe it is necessary in order to comply with applicable laws and statutes, to protect CyberGMAT's interests or property, to prevent fraud or any other illegal activity performed on, through, or using the name of CyberGMAT, or to prevent imminent bodily harm.

In CyberGMAT's interaction with third-party websites, or in using sites and services reached through or employed by CyberGMAT, we may receive information about your browsing and use, even if you are logged out of CyberGMAT. If CyberGMAT receives information on a user that is not logged into or registered to CyberGMAT, that information is deleted.

 

Direct mailing about products, updates and services

As part of your registration to cyberGMAT, you acknowledge and agree that we may occasionally send you email messages regarding updates, products and services that we think may be useful or necessary to you. Some of these emails are promotional, while others are crucial to your use of CyberGMAT. Only CyberGMAT will send you such direct mailings.

Third-party sites and links

This Privacy Policy applies strictly to information collected by CyberGMAT. As stated in our Terms of Service, CyberGMAT is not responsible for any Third-Party Sites accessed through CyberGMAT or for any third-party content posted on or available or installed through CyberGMAT, including the third-party's privacy practices. You are solely responsible for reviewing the terms and practices, including privacy and data gathering policies and practices, of any website that you reach through or from CyberGMAT, or of any software or application that you use or install through or from CyberGMAT.

 

Third-party marketing

Online advertisements displayed on CyberGMAT are sometimes delivered directly to the User by third-party advertisers. These advertisers have no access to your personally identifiable CyberGMAT User information, unless you opt to share it with them. However, when delivering an ad to your computer, the advertisers automatically receive your IP address, and may place browser cookies on your computer, or utilize other web technologies (such as JavaScript) to check which ads were clicked, personalize ad content, and track the performance of their ad campaigns. CyberGMAT had no access to or control over the technologies employed by third-party advertisers. This Privacy Policy does not cover the use of cookies or other tracking technologies by CyberGMAT's third-party advertisers.

 

Change of ownership

If the ownership of CyberGMAT or part of CyberGMAT were to change, your information may be transferred to the new owner(s). In this case, CyberGMAT cannot and does not guarantee that the entity receiving your information will comply with all the terms of this Privacy Policy.

 

Deactivating your user account

To deactivate your account, please contact us at our contact form.

 

Your personal information may remain in our servers or in backup media, but will generally not be available to members of CyberGMAT or new third-party advertisers.
